Ruben Contreras is a Los Angeles based visual artist that works in cinematography and photography. From the moment Ruben learned to handle a camera, taught by his father, who learned from his father, he has understood that images have a unique capacity to capture meaningful moments in the most unexpected places.  Whether through the lens of documentary filmmaking or narrative storytelling, Ruben’s images prioritizes finding meaningful moments in seemingly mundane situations, thereby, celebrating the beauty of cultural manifestations present in everyday life.
